When it comes to classic strategy games, tic-tac-toe stands out as one of the easiest to learn and hardest to win. It’s easy because you can understand the rules in about 10 seconds. It’s hard because no matter how good you get at it, your win rate will probably remain stubbornly in the single digits. That’s why most people don’t play Tic Tac Toe for fun – they try to make it more challenging. And if there is a game that begs for more difficulty, it’s Tic Tac Toe. You see, normal Tic Tac Toe has some serious flaw: Players who make their final move second have a statistical advantage by playing first. This means that unless players alternate colors or blocks, one player will always lose.

How To Beat Impossible Tic Tac Toe

    Make your final move first

If you come across an opponent who is determined to play first no matter what, try to make your final move first. If you and your opponent are playing the first color on the board, you’ve got a 50-50 chance of winning regardless of who makes the final move first. If you and your opponent are playing the first block on the board, you’ve got the advantage no matter who makes the final move first. If you and your opponent are playing the second color on the board, you’ve got a 50-50 chance of winning if you make the final move second. If you and your opponent are playing the second block on the board, you’ve got the advantage if you make the final move second.

Block with the rear corner before making your final move

If you have the rear corner square blocked, you can almost always force your opponent to lose. The only way to lose when you have the rear corner-blocked is if you and your opponent are playing the first block, second color, first color, or last color on the board. If you and your opponent are only playing the first color and second color, you can always win by completing a diagonal row. If you and your opponent are only playing the first block and second block, you can always win by getting three in a row. If you and your opponent are only playing the last color on the board, you can always win by getting four in a row.

Block with the center before making your final move

If you have the center square blocked, you can almost always force your opponent to lose. The only way to lose when you have the center blocked is if you and your opponent are playing the first color, second block, last color, or first color on the board. If you and your opponent are only playing the first and second colors, you can always win by completing a diagonal row. If you and your opponent are only playing the first and last blocks, you can always win by getting three in a row. If you and your opponent are only playing the first and second colors on the board, you can always win by getting four in a row.

    How To Play Chess?

    1.   Set up the board and pieces.
    2.   Place your chessmen on the board so that you have a king, a queen, two rooks, two bishops, and eight pawns.
    3.   Move your chessmen to capture your opponent’s pieces or make them lose their men.
    4. Checkmate: If you can’t move any of your pieces in any direction, you are checkmated. Checkmate is when one player has no legal moves left on the board and their opponent has no legal moves left to make (they can’t move anymore).
    5. Win: You win if you checkmate your opponent or if they checkmate you (they force you to lose).

    How To Play Rummy?

    • Set up the board and deal out all the cards face down in two piles (four cards each). Start with a hand of four cards each, then add one card to each pile after every turn until one player has three cards in each pile (a full hand). The first person to run out of cards wins the game! You can also play with four people who share a single deck of 52 cards, but be careful because it is easier for someone else to win when there are more players than when there are fewer players!
    1.   Take a turn to pick up one card from your pile and place it face-up on the table in front of you. If you have enough cards to complete a set (four cards in a row), you can take that set and put it in your hand.
    2.   If another player has the same number of cards as you, they have to give the remaining cards to you.
    3. The game ends when everyone has run out of cards or someone wins by getting three sets (four cards in a row) or four sets (a row of four different suits).
    4. Win: You win if you get three sets or four sets before someone else does, or if you get more points than any other player and no one else gets any points!
